The Conch

For those unfamiliar with Conch, it is a sea snail (it sounds disgusting I know, but trust me its delicious!).The conch although is found in some other parts of the world such as Florida, it is popular in the Bahamas and apart of many native dishes.

Here is a picture of a conch before preparation

\
There are several different ways it can be prepared, I will share a few

Cracked Conch with Peas & Rice

(Deep Fried)

Conch Salad

It is made of the raw conch diced with tomatoes, sweet-pepper, lime, pepper and other juices.Conch salad is my personal favorite!

Grilled Conch

Conch Fritter

This is prepared by dicing the conch, and forming a doughy mixture with flour, egg, milk and others and
then it is deep fried
